Current Tech, a leading
producer of tube bending controls and simulation software, has opened up
an office in the UK. The new office will provide
support and engineering services to customers throughout Europe. This new
International office will help Current Tech serve the increasing demand
for CNC bender control upgrades on new and used machines in the field.
Heading the new office
will be Mr. Chris Brennan. Mr. Brennan has over 15 years of experience
designing software and hardware for CNC tube bender control systems.
“Chris brings a wealth of
talent and experience to our team. His technical expertise and proven
track record for supporting customers and solving problems in the tube
bending industry make him the ideal candidate for this position,” says
Current Tech’s sales manager Mr. Dennis Ekren.

There has also been a
growing demand in the tube bending industry for simulation software.
Simulating the bending process allows the customer to develop and optimize
part programs off line, eliminating machine down time. With simulation
software such as Current Tech’s BendPro SIM, a 3D model of any tube
bending machine can be animated to detect potential collisions between the
tube and the bending machine. The software enables the user to take
corrective actions on machine sequences to avoid collisions and to reduce
cycle times.
Current Tech has been in
the business of designing and manufacturing tube bender controls for over
20 years. The company’s latest innovation is the BendPro G2 control that
can be installed on any tube bending machine and offers advanced benefits
such as 3D simulation. Current Tech currently has over 1000 tube bender
controls installed in the field.
